Week 1 in Hawaii - Wacky Waikiki

We arrived on Sunday 4/27 to Honolulu for our stay at the Wyndham Beach Walk Resort in the heart of Waikiki! Yoki made sure we got a great 2bd/2bath unit with views of the beach from every room.

This week was all about being a "turista"! We went to the Royal Hawaiian Luau. explored all the shops on Kalakaua (Coach, Fendi, Cartier, Ferragamo, Kate Spade, et al) and of course the International Market Place as well as the shops at the Hilton Hawaiian Village!

Staying at the Wyndham was great because we were within walking (and scooter) distance of everything including great restaurants like Ruth Chris, Yardhouse, PF Chang's, Duke's, and many more.

On Thursday we celebrated May Day which is Lei Day in Hawaii at Kapiolani Park and not only did we see the Guiness Book of World Record's Longest Lei - ONE MILE long but we also got to see a beautiful ceremony presented by the citizens of Hawaii and it was all for free!

Saturday night we went to see the Society of Seven at the Outrigger and really loved their humor and music.

Today we moved to Ko'Olina and the start of week 2 in Paradise!
